Mel has arrived in foster care!!

Mel has found a foster home to evaluate her.

Her foster mom reports: "We are working on manners right now. She gets very excited when I come home from work. Due to her fence jumping history, Mel will needs an invisible fence. Mel loves to cuddle and sleep in the bed, likes to go for walks and bike rides.

Mel has plenty of energy. Gets along well with all dogs, including small dogs. Our cat doesn't like her all that much, maybe a cat that likes to play a little more would be better.

She also loves rope toys and kong wubbas."

Mel is a great girl!

We are looking for a friendly, fun-lovin’ home for Mel. (aka Melody).

Mel, who is a pointer mix from IBR's Josie and the Pussycats litter, is quite simply a beautiful girl – with stunning markings. Her current family loves her, and will miss her, but can no longer provide a yard with a fence for her to run around and play in.

Mel is housebroken and crate trained and does fine in her crate while her family is gone to work. Mel should a good aptitude for agility training when she was a young pup and would likely excel at it, if she were given a chance to go to an agility class again. Mel is also a champion at giving kisses and snuggling up to you on the couch, as she's very affectionate.

Mel loves to play ball – and will return it to you! It is also very cool to see her “go on point”. Mel is a very warm and friendly dog and loves to play with my 16, 15, and 10 year old children. She also loves to romp with her sister, Izzy akaValentine, and will likely enjoy having another dog to keep her company in her future forever home. She also currently lives with two cats and does well around them.
